help me everyone.
we are looking for a cheap old boat for a school retoration project.
must be inboard, (no semi please)v-drive is a must,(for trans. training purposes)

our school is training in mechanics, upholstery & body.
so boat could have hany failed component....
our project last year was a 1982 mastercraft with a failed engine & trans,
the year before it was a 1962 nautique(wooden hull) with hull damage.

the program is very successfull & students love to work on something they can enjoy on the summer. the experience they get in those class is priceless

its a very small school & fund resourses are not as we wish, where having machine shop & body shop helping us with the cost of the parts, but boats are very hard to find.

we are located in quebec, canada, we will pick up the boat.

Does it have to be a VDrive? What about a inboard direct drive?

a cheap v-drive inboard do not come cheap new, duh, and used ones are most often so beat to sh*t from summer camps and have so many hours that it would be easier to build your own boat with plywood and duct tape.
However, if there is a hidden gem on the market, check at some marina's and check on places like ebay or other auction sites or used boats.
